What this actually does
Full competition backup
Download backup from the home page writes a JSON copy of the competitions in this browser — teams, venues, locks, and the current slate. Schedules created in a cloud preview will not appear on your Mac until you restore that file here.
Restore to compare approaches
Restore backup loads that JSON. Use it to compare two structures side by side, or to walk back an aggressive regenerate without rebuilding from the registration file.
Locks survive the next generate
Coach lock, venue lock, and pinned games stay in the backup. Confirmed matches stay put across Generate, Fill remaining, and Hail Mary when you have locked them.
