Futsal

USYF formats on the courts you actually have

Futsal weekends are dense: pool play Saturday, knockouts Sunday, paired semis, and a hard cap on how many games a team can take in a day. TazSchedule's tournament engine is built around those Championship Series rules.

What usually goes wrong

  • Format charts live in a PDF while courts live in a different workbook
  • Championship games land too early and force a rebuild
  • Sunday stacks pool, semi, and final with no rest hour
The playbook

What to run instead

Let the division size pick the format

USYF Championship Series formats by team count (4–20, including 10A/10B). Multiple divisions in one event can each use a different format.

Pack championship-first, then fill the rest

Seat Sunday finals and paired semis first, keep day 1 pool-only, and leave an empty hour on Sunday between championship rounds.

Advance from scores, not a second tool

Enter scores, publish standings, and advance knockouts in the same competition. Unfilled sides keep USYF labels until teams are known.
